Digital Marketing is a foundation of any business. If we talk about it in detail, then we need to focus on all the parameters which are included in a digital marketing internship. An internship done for 90 days in a structured and practical way is much more beneficial than one done by simply finishing the assigned tasks.
Let’s highlight the Learning path for a 90-day Digital Marketing Internship.
Days 1-30 - Foundation Building:
In the first month, the focus should be on understanding how digital marketing works.
Learning Seo, social media marketing, email marketing, content marketing, paid add campaigns.
Understanding the basic difference between organic and paid traffic and how businesses use digital platforms to create leads and generate sales.
Understanding the SEO skills, SEO keywords, meta titles, headings , internal linking, backlinks.
Practicing keyword research using tools such as Google trends, Google keyword Planner and free SEO tools.
How to build social media content for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
Learning graphics to create writing captions and preparing content calenders. For the beginner level, learning Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
The goal is to learn and understand the deeper matrics such as CTR, Clicks, engagement and conversions.
Focus on completing at least 2-3 practical tasks.
Days 31-60- Execution month:
Once we are done with a basic understanding of digital marketing, we move from learning to execution.
Create a 30-day marketing strategy, identify the target segment, competitors, social platforms and content. In this particular period, practice SEO blogs, website content, social media posts and short video scripts. Optimising existing website pages for search engines.
The focus and priority need to be on how we can gain maximum insights on Google Ads or Meta Ads. Learn the audience behaviour, campaign objectives, budgets, CTR, CPC and conversions.
Maintain a performance report in Excel or Google Sheets. Making a strong record of what we posted, what worked well and what could be improved.
Record what was posted, what performed well and what could be improved.
Working on 3–5 practical projects is the key to get better with the learning matrices.
Days 61–90: Become Job-Ready
Now comes the most exciting and challenging time, whereby our 60 days of learning will help us identify where we stand. The focus at this particular period should be on strategy, analysis and doing independent work.
Work on small projects – for example, how to improve the company’s current Instagram engagement, generating leads through content, how to increase website traffic or improve SEO.
Take responsibility for content ideas, campaign planning, brainstorming, and keyword research using tools such as ChatGPT.
By the time the internship is about to be finished, prepare a professional digital marketing portfolio which is created by putting your best work , campaign reports and SEO work.
The goal should be to understand the concepts and execute them practically.
The practical exposure gained can turn an internship into a full-time job opportunity or a freelance opportunity. All these details and much more are taught in Academic Mantra Services Live skills training programs. Come, join us and get future-ready with Academic Mantra Services.
